Soul. Hooray. Howdy. All aboard. Obama Cola signs as seen at L'Enfant Plaza metro station in D.C. during March for Life week. So very progressive of Pepsi. Then again, they have a long history of niche marketing. In the 1940's PepsiCo president Walter Mack, "realized African-Americans were an untapped niche market and that Pepsi stood to gain market share by targeting its advertising directly towards them"(Wiki). Now Pepsi has found a new niche. Pepsi gave $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). HRC gave 2.3 million in an attempt to defeat Prop 8. Pepsi must really think that gay is the new black. Boycott Pepsi, all aboard!!
