Niche Marketing

Soul. Hooray. Howdy. All aboard. Obama Cola signs as seen at L'Enfant Plaza metro station in D.C. during March for Life week. So very progressive of Pepsi. Then again, they have a long history of niche marketing. In the 1940's PepsiCo president Walter Mack, "realized African-Americans were an untapped niche market and that Pepsi stood to gain market share by targeting its advertising directly towards them"(Wiki). Now Pepsi has found a new niche. Pepsi gave $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). HRC gave 2.3 million in an attempt to defeat Prop 8. Pepsi must really think that gay is the new black. Boycott Pepsi, all aboard!!

Thank you for posting this alert. You may also want to mention that not only did PepsiCo give $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign, but they also gave $500,000 to the Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). This $1,000,000 is to be used to help promote homosexuality in the workplace. Interestingly enough, Pepsi refuses to give money to any pro-family organization that opposes the homosexual agenda. The American Family Association has called for a boycott of PepsiCo products (Pepsi soft drinks, Quaker Oats, Frito Lay) Here's the link to the article:
