Indeed it is. The moral of the story is that the Democrats know they can't win on the economy. Don't take our word for it, here's John Hinderaker: They know they can’t win a debate on the economy or on President Obama’s record, so they will do everything they can to distract the voters’ attention from those matters, which should be decisive, and instead turn the focus to the GOP candidate and his or her alleged foibles. If Republican voters allow that to happen by nominating a candidate with baggage that permits the Democrats to turn him into the next Herman Cain, it is all too likely that President Obama will be re-elected, with consequences that can hardly be overestimated.

Nobody, I mean the Lamestream Media, wants to talk about the Flat Tax. First, at the National Press Club on October 31st, when Herman Cain rolled out his 9-9-9 Plan and now on November 28th when he unveils 9-9-9 the Movie. Hmmmm. Curious. They seem to want to talk Foreign Policy instead of economic growth. Anyhow, if you haven't watched Slaying the Tax Monster,do so.

Cain accuser is none other than Mayella Ewell!! Didn't see that coming. Wait, yes we did. I was sittin' on the porch, and he come along. Uh, there's this old chifforobe in the yard, and I-I said, 'You come in here, boy, and bust up this chifforobe, and I'll give you a nickel.' So he-he come on in the yard and I go in the house to get him the nickel and I turn around, and 'fore I know it, he's on me, and I fought and hollered, but he had me around the neck, and he hit me again and again, and the next thing I knew, Papa was in the room, a-standin' over me, hollerin', 'Who done it, who done it?' Don't remember Mayella Ewell? Let's refresh our memories. To Kill A Mockingbird. Gloria Allred, what a joke. Same Gloria Allred who lobbied against the Tim Tebow Super Bowl ad. Same Gloria who befriended Norma McCorvey (Roe of Roe v Wade). *Hat tip to commentors at Michelle Malkin blog for coming up with Mayella. Been thinking about the book but couldn't remember her name.

Cainaquiddick: Where Source-Based Journalism Goes to Die by David Weigel
Excerpt: "That's not a correction. That's a massacre. I'm half expecting the next update to report that the man in question was not Herman Cain, but the popular comic actor Charlie Murphy, and that the woman was actually a Japanese body pillow. And this comes the same day as a widely-linked Washington Times story about whether or not Rahm Emanuel is behind the Cain story, attributed to "a source who is friends with the Cain campaign." Friends with the campaign! The liberal media's reputation is coming out of this a whole lot healthier than the conservative media's reputation, isn't it?"But just a minor correction to Weigel .... ALL media is has gone here to die, he had it right the first time.

While there is no law on abortion in Cuba, “the practice has been legal since 1965.” Abortions can be obtained free of charge at any public hospital up to the 10th week of pregnancy for any reason, the report explained. The Instapundit tells it like it is: CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR: Since the Tucson shooting on Jan. 8, federal gun control advocates have made little headway and many states are considering expanding gun rights. Why? Because people have figured out that gun control is a scam that costs liberty while making crime worse and leaving citizens defenseless. Posted at 10:28 pm by Glenn Reynolds

That was fast! Drudge Report has already replaced the March for Life photo in Column Three. In it's place this article. The article basically confirms what we already know, abortion is used as birth control: Guttmacher also reports that 93 percent of all abortions occur for “social reasons” such as a mother’s decision that the child is unwanted or “inconvenient.”

Here is NBC's photo gallery. They seem to have managed to find the three pro-choice demonstrators at the Supreme Court. Keep clicking through the photos because the wide angle shots of the large crowds are at the end of the gallery.
Here's the package as seen on Special Report with Bret Baier. Probably the lengthiest footage of Pro-Lifers marching that we have seen on television outside of EWTN. Kudos to Fox News. They win the 2011 Better Late Than Never award. Honorable Mention goes to The Drudge Report for what we think is the first time ever to feature coverage of the March for Life (look for his link in Column Three of the Report). .

From Steven Greydanus who is live-blogging the March for Life 2011: I think the most mendacious reportage I saw was from CNN.com, which opened with the lede, “Abortion rights supporters and opponents hit the streets of the nation’s capital Friday to mark the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade…” There were tens or hundreds of thousands of pro-life demonstrators and a tiny handful of counter-demonstrators; most people I talked to had no idea there were any counter-demonstrators and certainly hadn’t seen any. But CNN’s two-photo slideshow started with a photo of the few pro-choicers there, and followed up with a single shot of some pro-lifers that gave no indication of the multiple orders of magnitude between the two groups. This year, it will be even more obvious that we are the event and they are the counter-demonstrators, the footnote. Why? Because the anniversary of Roe v. Wade was on Saturday, but the March has been moved to Monday. Why? Because the March organizers don’t want to hold the event on a weekend when our representatives in DC are all gone. They want us to be as visible as possible. So our organizers moved the March. We chose Monday instead of Saturday or Friday. Whatever pro-choice demonstrators show up today will be there because we decided to march today. If they were their own independent thing, they could have chosen to march Saturday, Friday or whenever. But they aren’t. They’re watching us to see what we do.

A densely packed crowd of least 40,000 walked 20 across in a line that stretched over a mile. The Walk route started at Justin Herman Plaza in downtown San Francisco and concluded at Marina Green in sight of Golden Gate Bridge. Walk for Life UPDATE: KTVU says 50,000.
In all the dioceses of the United States of America, January 22 (or January 23, when January 22 falls on a Sunday) shall be observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life. The Mass "For Peace and Justice" (no. 22 of the "Masses for Various Needs") should be celebrated with violet vestments as an appropriate liturgical observance for this day.
